I am a fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapist based in Mungret Co Limerick. I am a member of The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and CORU registered. Having grown up in the area, I am delighted to practice out of a such a locally renowned building as Mungret College.
I have worked in private, public and sporting settings, gaining valuable experience in the treatment of pain and managing a diverse range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. I have extensive experience with sports teams, including working with the all Ireland winning Limerick U21s team in 2017 and Garryowen Rugby. I am currently overseeing physiotherapy services for Limerick Minor, Academy and U20 hurlers.
My interest in physiotherapy was sparked by various injuries I experienced during my own sporting career, this culminated in achieving various underage and senior amateur international honours in rugby. I consider myself lucky to be able to pursue my passion and regularly attend courses to keep up-to-date in the latest treatments. Since graduating from the University of Limerick, I have completed a number of post graduate courses including Trigger Point Dry Needling, A.P.P.I. Mat Work Pilates 1, FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, and recently had a paper published in the highly respected Gait and Posture Journal on the effects of taping techniques on knee pain.
